MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City government has provided free anti-dengue kits to more than 47,000 elementary students, Mayor Abby Binay said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The distribution of anti-dengue kits to public school students is part of our campaign to prevent dengue, especially during the rainy season,” Binay said. ADVERTISEMENT

Binay said the parents of some 47,212 public elementary students from Kinder to Grade 6 can now pick up the kits in their students’ elementary school.

Each kit contains a 250-ml. According to the Makati City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, Makati has recorded 334 dengue cases from January 1 to August 15.
